The Vale's engineered cedar wall siding has a lapsed listing for a panel assembly with OSB sheathing and Tyvek Homewrap.
In the handbook, 8140-2322:0500 covers tongue-and-groove panels 19/32 inch thick by 5-7/16 inches wide, installed with 7/16-inch exterior-grade OSB. The Tyvek wrap is also expressly named. The proposed wall needs to retain that backing construction alongside the cedar panel dimensions.
OSFM names SFM 12-7A-1 as the wall-siding test protocol. It therefore addresses the wall use of these panels; a matching product name on another application does not settle the wall specification.
