2025 California WUI Code one-hour exterior-wall path
The 2025 California Wildland-Urban Interface Code includes one-hour fire-resistance-rated construction on the exterior side as an exterior-wall path.
The rating belongs to the complete tested or listed wall assembly, not a component in isolation. Assembly direction, framing, sheathing, cladding, penetrations, installation, local amendments, and approval remain checks.
