Swanson's RBB plywood siding listing permits 16- or 24-inch stud centers for panels with 12- or 16-inch groove lengths.
The front, center and back veneers are all Douglas-fir. The nominal 19/32-inch construction uses 5 plies and 5 layers, with 4-by-8-foot, 4-by-9-foot or 4-by-10-foot panel sizes. OSFM 8140-2137:0502 identifies this as direct-attached siding and names SFM 12-7A-1 as its test protocol.
Both stud layouts use nominal 2-by-4-inch members. The siding is fastened with 6d nails: 6-inch intervals at panel edges and 12-inch intervals in the field. The wider stud-center option carries the same two fastening intervals in the listing; choosing a panel length does not supply a different nailing schedule.
Use the panel size, groove-length option and stud layout when checking Swanson's installation instructions and product data sheets. Keep those choices together on the proposed wall detail, and compare them with the exact GOVmotus entry before specification.
