The rule

Adopted “Eaves and soffits shall be protected on the exposed underside by materials approved for a minimum of 1-hour fire-resistance-rated construction.”

2006 Utah UWUI Class 1 one-hour eave. The 2006 Utah UWUI requires the exposed underside of Class 1 eaves and soffits to use materials approved for at least one-hour fire-resistance-rated construction.
