Appendix S5 publishes continuous means for MT, BL, BT, BR, BB interval, and the authors' compound FL index for 34 samples. FL runs from 0 toward roughly 3, but the paper defines no directional taxon classes or cutoffs. All rows are retained as not-rated measurements.

Six fresh field samples per taxon were preheated for two minutes at 150 °C and ignited for 10 seconds. Thirty-four sample rows resolve to 33 exact GBIF identities because Celtis ehrenbergiana was deliberately measured as both tree and shrub morphotypes. The Appendix S2 spelling Pappophorum explicitly corrects S5's Papophorum typo.
