South Carolina's council adopts the international construction family and the electrical code under § 6-9-50, and § 6-9-60 lets local governments go further — no wildfire interface book sits at either level yet. South Carolina does not adopt a statewide WUI construction book. S.C. Code § 6-9-50 directs the Building Codes Council to adopt ICC building, residential, gas, plumbing, mechanical, fire, and energy codes and the NEC. § 6-9-60 lets locals optionally adopt property-maintenance, performance, existing-building, and swimming-pool codes. IWUIC is not those statutes. Confirm with the building official.
