Get ready for the inspection
The programs that credit wildfire hardening, mapped to the directory records that satisfy them — each quoted in its own words, from its own documents. Insurers do not all use the same checklist: California requires wildfire-rating insurers to credit Safer from Wildfires measures (10 CCR 2644.9); IBHS Wildfire Prepared is a separate designation any home can pursue.
Find what applies near you
Enter a ZIP before browsing the complete evidence. Matching, inherited, and place-neutral records will move first; other places and unmapped application rows will fold into expandable groups. Nothing is removed. All 3 program and market sections remain available.
Evidence prioritized for
Matching, inherited, and national evidence is open. Other locations and records not yet joined to a place are collapsed below and remain available.
IBHS Wildfire Prepared Essential (field document)
Class A roof as a tested assembly, vents or 1/8 inch mesh, 0–5 foot noncombustible Zone 0, gutters, maintenance. Enhanced adds flame and radiant-heat measures. Some Bend agencies hand homeowners this checklist and may add extras such as spark arrestors. That extra is carrier practice, not a FireApproved rule.
IBHS standard page. IBHS is a designation, not adopted code. See IBHS does not replace adopted code. Garage-door weatherstrip is ember work, not an OSFM 8150 listing. See garage doors as an ember path and the doors category.
California Safer from Wildfires (10 measures)
Safer from Wildfires page. That list is California insurance credit, not Oregon law. See Safer from Wildfires is not Oregon law.
Oregon residual market and premiums
Oregon’s last-resort association is a different market from California FAIR Plan. See Oregon has a FAIR Plan. This site does not quote a FAIR Plan discount percent. A wildfire-related Oregon premium can move without a nearby fire. See premiums with no nearby fire.
