Kansas takes an unusual either-or approach: K.A.R. 22-1-2 deems a building compliant with the state fire prevention code if it meets the 1997 Uniform Building Code or the 2006 International Building Code. Neither is a wildfire book, so what applies to your house stays on the model floor and the programs.
Kansas towns have opened no wildfire construction files of their own, and what we can't tell you yet leaves that plainly stated.
