The September 2025 OSFM handbook's description of listing 8165-2353:0001 names the individual models and dimensions, including F&IV01000 at 4 by 19 inches and F&IV05500 at 8 by 8 inches. Check the model designation and dimensions together when identifying the finished vent.
OSFM says the products are manufactured from 26-gauge G90 galvanized steel, with channel openings approximately 7/8 inch wide. Inside is a three-dimensional stainless-steel-wool matrix approximately 1/4 inch thick, together with three layers of 1/8-inch wire mesh. The channel width, matrix thickness and mesh dimensions describe different parts. The handbook names stainless steel for the wool but does not specify the metal of those mesh layers.
ASTM E2886 is the listed test protocol. Keep the complete factory vent and its model designation together when checking the live BML record. The handbook refers to O'Hagin's data sheet for the detailed product description and operational considerations; its component description does not establish coverage for a substitute assembled from similar mesh and wool.
