MoistureShield Meridian is listed for wildfire-area decking with specified framing, a maximum edge gap and a condition on the attached wall.
Meridian is the model named under CAL FIRE number 8110-2321:0501. The composite boards measure 1 by 5.4 inches and sit on nominal 2-by-6-inch Douglas fir joists spaced 16 inches on center. The permitted edge-to-edge gap is no more than 3/16 inch. Keep that upper limit with the Meridian model when checking installation details.
The handbook names test protocol SFM 12-7A-4A but says ASTM E84 was not conducted. It requires the attached wall's exterior covering to be noncombustible or ignition-resistant. That requirement is part of the deck decision, not a flame-spread rating to assign to the boards.
Use the manufacturer's product data and installation instructions to check the full Meridian construction, then confirm its current GOVmotus listing. The Meridian model identification should remain explicit on the order. A specification should retain the joist arrangement, gap limit and attached-wall covering rather than treating MoistureShield products as interchangeable.
