Austin 2024 IWUIC Zone A noncombustible eave path

Austin retains noncombustible material as an ignition-resistant eave path in Proximity Zone A through Sections 503.2.1 and 504.3.1.

This covers only a documented noncombustible eave or soffit product. Enclosure, geometry, other local material paths, gaps, fascia, official zone, and project scope remain checks.

“Eaves and soffits shall be protected on the exposed underside by ignition-resistant materials ... 503.2.1 Noncombustible material. Material shall comply with the definition of noncombustible materials in Section 202.”
