Dec-Tec's Professional Line PVC membranes are listed with a defined frame, plywood deck, cement-board layer and adhesive.
The September 2025 OSFM description for 8180-2403:0001 names Classic or CoolStep membranes, nominally 0.060 or 0.080 inch thick, with integral fiberglass reinforcement. Its Class A roof-covering rating and ASTM E108 test apply to the listed construction; selecting a membrane by thickness alone does not identify that construction.
The frame uses kiln-dried joists at least 2 by 8 inches, placed 16 inches on center with their crowns up and adequate blocking. Above them, OSFM specifies 15/32-inch AC Grade Fir plywood and 1/2-inch cement board mechanically fastened to the deck. The assembly's slope must be at least 1/4:12.
The membrane adheres to the cement board with Dec-Tec WBA 100, SBA 100R or SBA 200VC, applied according to the manufacturer's instructions. Those named adhesive alternatives do not remove the cement-board layer or the framing conditions.
