FireStorm EmberMesh roll has documented retrofit-mesh features, without establishing a listed vent assembly.
The manufacturer's sales sheet specifies 304 stainless steel, a 0.0657-inch aperture and 0.018-inch wire. It advertises Class A performance, but its flame-test statement carries a vertical-test footnote. That qualification matters when considering a different orientation.
For a retrofit, the installation guidance calls for a secure fit without gaps, tight attachment to framing, and sealed or reinforced edges where needed. Ventilation requirements must still be met. A roll's mesh dimensions do not establish airflow through the finished opening.
Match the mesh, orientation and opening details with the authority having jurisdiction before treating the retrofit as an accepted vent solution.
