Prescott 2024 IWUIC Class 3 Class A roof-assembly path

Prescott replaces the model Class 3 Class B minimum with a Class A tested roof assembly for moderate-risk sites assigned Class 3 construction.

A documented roof assembly can match the rating and test. Roof deck, underlayment, profile-space closure, City risk class, project trigger, and official approval remain separate checks.

“Roofs shall have a roof assembly that complies with a Class A rating when tested in accordance with ASTM E108 or UL 790.”
