Listings expire. The lapse log is where we catch it
A listing can leave the live database while last year’s PDF still names it. DURA listing 8160-2126:0501 is stored as expired: it appeared in the 2 September 2025 OSFM WUI handbook and was not in the live Building Materials Listing as of 23 August 2026. American Wood Council 8140-2041:0004 is stored as listed, expires 2027-06-30, from the same live pull. The lapse log is the table of the first kind of row. Search GOVmotus before you spec.
You are copying a listing ID from a drawing set or from a manufacturer sheet dated last fall. The live BML is a different document from the handbook PDF.
This page is the expire-and-check distinction. OSFM listing is usually voluntary is the never-listed distinction. How to read a listing is the test-method versus listing versus code distinction. Do not merge those three sentences.
The OSFM handbook host returned Access Denied this session. The dates and IDs above are stored on the product records from the 23 August 2026 BML pull and the 2 September 2025 handbook ingest.
Why it matters
Marketing pages and old handbooks do not update when a listing ID drops. A permit file that still says 8160-2126:0501 is specifying a row we already marked lapsed. A listing that lapses is not proof the product failed a fire test. It is proof the live database no longer shows that ID as active. Confirm the current record.
Absence from the handbook is not this problem. OSFM listing is not a statutory mandate for most WUI products. See listed is voluntary.

The lapse log page is generated from every product with complianceStatus: lapsed. It is a catalog, not a second BML. The method printed there: re-pull the live BML, diff it against records that were in the 2025-09-02 handbook, land dropouts on that table with a warning on the product page.
GOVmotus (https://calfire.govmotus.org/BMLSearch/Index) is a search box. It is not a permalink to a row. Search the listing ID. Match the model. Do not spec from a screenshot of this site.
Oregon R327 does not become a California listing program because a drawing still shows an OSFM ID. Deschutes practice for handbook products on drawings is local. Confirm with the building official.

How to check
- Copy the listing ID from the drawing or the product page.
- Open GOVmotus. Search that ID. Match the model.
- Open the lapse log. If the product is there, the live BML pull did not find it.
- If the row is still listed, read the stored
expiresdate. AWC 8140-2041:0004 is the example on this page. - Do not spec an OSFM listing you have not confirmed the same day you stamp the drawing.
Limits
This page quotes stored product records from the 23 August 2026 BML pull. It does not re-open GOVmotus row-by-row this session. The OSFM handbook host denied this session. It does not decide a permit. A listing is not adopted code. How to read a listing.

Questions
If a product was in the 2025 OSFM handbook, is it still listed?
Not necessarily. The lapse log is the set of products that appeared in the 2 September 2025 OSFM WUI handbook and were missing from the live Building Materials Listing when we last pulled it. DURA 8160-2126:0501 is one of those rows. Search GOVmotus for the listing ID before you spec.
Does lapsed mean the product failed a fire test?
No. The stored warning is that the listing may have expired, been withdrawn, or been renumbered. It is not a test-failure record.
Is never-listed the same as lapsed?
No. OSFM listing is usually voluntary. Absence from the handbook is not a ban. Lapsed means a listing this record relied on is no longer in the live BML. Those are different facts. See OSFM listing is usually voluntary.
What is DateExpires here?
On an active listing row it is the expires field. American Wood Council 8140-2041:0004 is stored as listed with expires 2027-06-30, from the live BML pull dated 2026-08-23. That date is not a permit clock for Oregon R327.
Can I spec from this site’s lapse log instead of GOVmotus?
No. The GOVmotus URL is a search box. Search the listing ID. Match the model. The lapse log is our diff, as of the date on the record.
